You\u2019ve been warned! <\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Most Common Mistakes on the Sales Side<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Not having a handle on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.furious-squad.com\/comment-organiser-votre-pipe-commercial-pour-une-meilleure-performance\/\">sales pipeline<\/a> timeline: dozens of spreadsheets, hours of meetings, liters of coffee, Jip\u00e9\u2019s jokes\u2014and yet still no clarity\u2026 And of course, managing the schedule at the last minute\u2014otherwise, it\u2019s no fun.<\/li>\n<li>Not knowing the exact cost of a presale in real time: yet this information is useful for comparing it to the probability of winning and preventing Sylvie from burning out\u2014especially since it won\u2019t bring in a single kopek anyway.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t try to overanalyze the reasons for losing a competition\u2014a simple chart at the end of the year quickly shows where we&#8217;re falling short. That&#8217;s the basics! <\/li>\n<li>Not tracking your conversion rate. Yet it would be helpful. Because when you\u2019re just guessing, there are often significant, unexpected discrepancies (by sector, customer, sales representative, or offer).  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>The Most Common Errors on the Production Side<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The proliferation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.furious-squad.com\/gestion-de-projets\/\">of project management tools<\/a>. Everyone uses their own tool and method. As a result, it\u2019s impossible to get a consolidated view and see that things are about to go off the rails before it\u2019s too late&#8230; Ouch!   <\/li>\n<li>Centralize scheduling with a single person. The traffic manager often ends up being the one who does the scheduling for others instead of resolving conflicts. And just like that, you\u2019ve created a major bottleneck that often leads to slowdowns, delays, and a complete lack of visibility beyond the week covered by the schedule.  <\/li>\n<li>Not knowing a project\u2019s profitability. Few agencies are able to say precisely whether they are making or losing money on their projects (particularly because they do not track their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.furious-squad.com\/en\/calculate-increase-margins-communications-agency-consultancy\/\" rel=\"noopener\">gross margin<\/a>), and even fewer can say whether they will make a profit or not in the case of pre-sales. <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.furious-squad.com\/en\/3-mistakes-that-slow-down-the-adoption-of-staffing-tools-in-agencies-and-how-to-avoid-them\/\">Do not track production based on progress<\/a> (most agencies track it based on invoicing). Few agencies think to automatically assign quality ratings to their projects (such as client surveys). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>The Most Common Mistakes in HR<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;<em>Who&#8217;s in today?<\/em>&#8221; That&#8217;s a phrase you often hear at the office, and it highlights the lack of tools for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.furious-squad.com\/en\/how-can-we-optimize-remote-work\/\">managing remote work<\/a>&#8230;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.furious-squad.com\/en\/best-practices-for-planning-multi-team-agency-projects\/\">Teams\u2019 fear of reporting<\/a>. It\u2019s curious how often we hear teams express fear about rolling out a new tool because it might reveal unflattering information to management. On the contrary, it\u2019s also an opportunity to highlight the effectiveness of those whose voices are least often heard.  <\/li>\n<li>Assigning one person to multiple managers: that\u2019s the most basic managerial mistake.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t just write down and define individual goals. How many people in agencies don&#8217;t have a clear goal assigned by their management? It&#8217;s actually quite helpful, though, for knowing where you&#8217;re headed.  <\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t track employee satisfaction automatically. Who asks their teams for feedback on projects or working conditions? And how many managers find out (too late) about that feedback on Twitter or in an Instagram Story?  <\/li>\n<li>Failing to respond to employees\u2019 daily requests to provide them with the right tools to do their jobs properly (equipment, etc.). In addition to making them more efficient, this also helps reduce the agency\u2019s far-too-high turnover rate. An employee who feels heard is an employee who will want to stay.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>The Most Common Mistakes in Finance<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Making things too complicated: accounting codes by project type that require endless re-entry, for example, or holding companies left and right\u2026 SIM-PLI-CITY, we tell you.<\/li>\n<li>Not having forecast tables (cash, landing, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Do not automate (billing, follow-ups, internal follow-ups).
